Our church family is made up of people with gifts that include: hospitality, nurturing, healing, teaching, helping, organizing, communicating and creativity. We have an active group of volunteers, including many professional people. From our different religious and cultural backgrounds, we are able to provide Christ-centered opportunities through education, fellowship and outreach that allow us to grow. We are blessed with a fusion of talents: from energetic youth to experienced seniors; from the leadership of our officers to the devotion of our congregation.
We want the story of Christ's love to be retold and his love to be made anew in our church from generation to generation

2 Cents a Meal is part of the Presbyterian Answer To Hunger (AKA "PATH") program. If you have always wanted an opportunity to put your two cents worth in and really make a difference, then this program is custom made for you! The idea is to keep an offering can on your dining table and put 2 pennies in it for every meal eaten in your home. On the fourth Sunday of the month, bring the pennies (or their equal amount in other coins, bills, or even checks) to our regular worship service and dedicate them to the task of feeding and educating the hungry. The projects supported by 2 Cents per Meal are ECHO, St. Barnabas Agricultural School in Haiti, Second Harvest Food Bank, and CODEP. Also, if you like to count and roll coins, here is a service opportunity for you. For more information visit: www.pcusa.org/pcusa/wmd/hunger/centsability.htm

Christmas International House began in 1965 when Harry F. "Pete" Petersen, assistant minister at First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, West Virginia suggested to his congregation that there was a need for housing of international students over the Christmas Holiday. He and his wife sent letters to colleges and universities east of the Mississippi River to invite international students to come to WV for the holidays. That first year, they hosted 180 student in their church. With such an overwhelming response by the students, Rev Petersen was convinced the program was needed by the students, and was a mission opportunity to show "hospitality to the foreigner among us". (Deuteronomy 10:18 ) In 2007 CSG hosted two students from Japan. In 2008 we hosted one student from Japan and another on from Viet Nam.
