NEWCOMERS WELCOME
Our ministries include worship, prayer, choir, youth, local outreach and mission trips. Bible Studies challenge members to grow in faith. The Fellowship Team provides hospitality at memorials, coffee hours and meals. The Prodigals and the R Group meet for fellowship. Evangelism oversees the web-site and The Call, a monthly newsletter.
Local and global missions are given 20% of our income. We encourage local volunteering. See the Mission page for Missions details.
Deacons, Shepherds and the Prayer Chain use phone calls, cards, email, Compassion Bags and visits to reach out. Officers take communion to shut-ins. Deacons contact members who have missed 3 consecutive Sundays.
We have a very special bond with 1st Palm Bay. The Men meet monthly for a fellowship breakfast. The choirs present a Christmas Cantata at both churches. Our youth join together for meetings, Mission Trips (Mexico and Kentucky), Montreat, Gleanings and fund-raising ($5K for a Heifer Ark!). Youth Sundays, enthusiastically led by the youth, bring inspiration and joy. The congregation anticipates and appreciates the creative perspective of our youth!
Christmas traditions include Hanging of the Greens, Caroling, Angel Tree, Dickens’ Dinner, Alternative Fair and Candlelight Service.
Since 2002, we have built a Memorial Garden, expanded Fellowship Hall and doubled class rooms (paid off mortgage!). We also hand-crafted 5 stained glass windows, installed a handicapped accessible playground and approved a 6th Habitat House.
Here are a few more things you may like to know.
